Need Help please. Asthma or allergies?

Do I have asthma or what? 2 years ago my doctor said I have mild asthma. Up until then I never had any asthma symptoms. I am here now because I need a medical doctor or nurse to advise. I woke up this morning with this weird feeling in my chest like a coldness and it makes me cough at times...which sounds slightly wheezy. I did open up the windows lastight and turn the fans on because it was so hot I had to cool the house down. So, is this seasonal asthma or something? I'm uncomfortable. Can someone please help. Thank you.
Answer:
You need to consult a doctor. Any advice on here is just that, advice, not a diagnosis.
Let a medical doctor check you out. Could be asthma.
You need to see a specialist, not an ordinary doc.
You need to see a pulmonary specialist. this could be serious and he can help.
Like someone else said, things on here are advise only - not any sort of medical diagnosis. That being said, here is my advice to you: Make an appointment with your primary care physician. Your physician may refer you to an internist, allergist, or pulmonologist. But, a general, Family Practice Physician can treat you for asthma. Now, from my medical experience, I can tell you that wheezing and a cold/tight feeling in your chest is a symptom of asthma. Check out: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/print...Best of Luck and I hope this information helps!
i was also diagnosed with mild asthma when i was a child and never had symptoms..but there's a time that i had a really had a bad cough and difficulty breathing..and the doctor told me that it was the mild asthma..so i think yours too could be a seasonal attack of your mild asthma. but seeing the doctor is still the best thing to do..^_^
There was a progamme on TV here in Australia a few nights ago where some researchers had gathered evidence to suggest that some sulphur compounds used for preserving food might have caused an increase in the number of asthma sufferers, These sulphurs are used particularly in dried fruits such as apricots for preservation purposes. Some canny mums had got together and eliminated sulphur compounds from their children's diets (sorry sweetheart, no more dried apricots) and a lot of them got better.
You sound like me. I have asthma that is triggered by allergies. You need to visit a doctor to get an inhaler to stop your wheezing. I am currently taking Singular and Zyrtec. You can't buy one of those over the counter inhalers either, they really don't work as well as the prescription. Find a doctor, because asthma can be life threatening. If you do have an attack, drink some coffee, it will cause the vessels around your lungs and throat to constrict so you can breathe easier. Good luck.
