Mysister in law has a damaged heart even though she had heart surgery a year ago?

but she is still quite ill. We are all eager to make sure she is getting the correct nutrition for her condition. She eats very little and is losing weight. Can anyone suggest ways of encouraging her to eat the right food as I'm sure she would feel a lot better with a good diet. She is very difficult to persuade her that she ought to eat and she often gets quite annoyed when it is suggested. Any ideas or suggestions out there please we are desparate to help her.
Answer:
If your sister-in-law gets annoyed when you try to encourage her to eat then please leave her alone. You are not helping her if she does not want your help. The woman is ill, I understand your motivation, but she is an adult and does not need to be treated like a child - back off!
my son has a heart condition and he doesnt eat hardly a thing.it sounds horriable and doesnt look to good but get half a swede,2 large carrots, baby sweetcorn,broccoli,colliflower... it with 3 vegtatable stock cubes then blend it adding salt and pepper as required he has that with bit bread and butter and loves it.kind of like home made soup that way get your 5 a day and its good for u.hope gets better soon
I can empathise with you as someone who has been in the position (not wanting to eat when ill). You need to apply some psychology here otherwisde you run the risk of really upsetting your sister in law.Why not lay out a wee buffet selection for her to see then if she wants she will eat when she is ready, do not hurry her.Best wishes.
